About Megan
Born and raised in small-town Saskatchewan, Megan Wittig is a freelance singer who has appeared in numerous operatic productions, most notably The Marriage of Figaro (Susanna), Madama Butterfly (Suzuki), The Magic Flute (First Lady), and A Hand of Bridge (Sally and Geraldine). In addition to performing, Megan has taught voice lessons for over fifteen years, specializing in classical, musical theatre, and CCM instruction. Many of Megan’s students have gone on to pursue careers in the arts. Megan received her Bachelor of Music with Distinction (2012) and Master of Music (2015) from the University of Lethbridge under the mentorship of Dr. Blaine Hendsbee.
Together with Lisa Stanford, Megan is a co-founder and co-artistic director of Little Lethbridge Opera Theatre which focuses on showcasing Southern Alberta musicians and creating fresh operatic and musical theatre interpretations. Their 2024 collaboration on The Sound of Music with the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra ushered in a new era for Little Lethbridge, enabling community inclusion and artistic creation at a much larger scale. Most-recent productions included Fiddler on the Roof with the LSO and From Page to Stage with Analog Books. Little Lethbridge is thrilled to present Sweeney Todd in March 2026 in collaboration with the LSO!
